Greetings to my Brave Explorers from your Fearless Leader. By the time you read this your space ship will have arrived at the Big Blue Marble and you are sitting at a computer in the outpost known as the Forest Knolls Media Center. We have heard that it is staffed by friendly life forms who will help you with your work. Their brains are small compared to ours and their technology is antique, but they have big hearts. Be especially kind to the older one whose head sprouts red and silver filaments. I think they call it hair on the Big Blue Marble. There is so much we still have to learn.
We have long gazed at that Big Blue Marble in Space and wondered what it would be like to explore it. You, the brave volunteers who climbed into the deep freezer on the space ship and travelled for many years, are now defrosted and ready to begin.
