At the end of each marking period, students are given awards for excellent work throughout the quarter.


Award recognizes 2 students in each class who show thoughtfulness and kindness towards people (staff and students). These students work hard to follow the peace pledge. They demonstrate exceptional character traits such as being respectful, responsible, and generous.



Award is largely based on teacher judgment of student progress and is presented to 2 students in each class. This category recognizes students who may sometimes struggle in one or more areas but may not meet the criteria for Academic Achievement. These students have made significant academic progress in one or more subject areas.



Students must earn 7 I's or 6 I's and 1 L out of the 7 learning skill areas on the report card


(Grades 3-5)
Students must earn at least 4 A's with no more than 2 B's from the following 6 report card categories:
Reading Comprehension, Writing Process, Spelling, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.



This award is for those students who earn all 4s or 0s.
They exhibit a high level of creativity, craftsmanship (neatness), and follow the art ground rules consistently.
