The Baldrige in Education Initiative is a national effort to transform the American K-12 education system using the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Criteria for Performance Excellence as a framework for restructuring education and improving student performance.

There are three components of the Baldridge School Improvement Process.

1. Establish a strong classroom learning system that promotes shared accountability, problem solving, and decision-making

2. Utilize quality tools to improve classroom processes, routines, and procedures

3. Utilize data to monitor academic performance and behavioral progress
