High Flyer Program and PBIS
At Fields Road, we have established a High Flyer Program based on the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports Initiative (PBIS). This is a process recognized by the Maryland Department of Education that focuses on improving a school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students. These core values are emphasized and are expected to be followed by ALL students, ALL staff in ALL settings.
FRES Core Values which we promote to be demonstrated both in school and at home are to be:

Fields Road Elementary School received the Silver Award Recognition at the State Recognition Ceremony this past summer (2010). We are so proud of our students and staff for demonstrating the 4 core values.
High Flyer Rewards
* First 1000 High Flyers
* Second 2500 High Flyers (1000 + 1500)
* Third 3500 High Flyers (1000 + 1500 + 1000)
* Fourth 5000 High Flyers (1000 + 1500 + 1000 + 1500)
- Our first High Flyer Celebration was in November. Students and staff came to school wearing Pajama's and they watched a 30 minute video at the end of the day.
- Our second High Flyer Celebration will be coming soon.
Luncheon with the Administration
Every 2 weeks, 2 students from each class is chosen to have lunch with Mrs. Rupp, our principal, and Ms. Tillman, our Assistant Principal. Students also receive a treat at the luncheon.
High Flyer Ribbons
All students who receive 6 or more High Flyer ribbons during the Marking Period will receive a High Flyer Ribbon at the end of each Marking Period (Quarter).
Assemblies
We started the year off with a kick-off Assembly featuring the fabulous FRES staff.
