Vision

Farmland Elementary is a school where all people can gain knowledge, skills and learn how to take care of themselves.

Location

Farmland is located in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland off of Montrose Road in Rockville, MD. It is on the corner of Rockville.

Facts about the Farm

Farmland was built in 1963 on a 4.8 acres site adjoining a local park. During the 2005/2006 school year, the school underwent an addition of a new gymnasium, ten new classrooms and a computer lab. The office and health suite also underwent a revision during this time.

Farmland Elementary School is part of the Walter Johnson Cluster. Students who attend Farmland Elementary School go onto Tilden Middle School and then Walter Johnson High School.

Mission

The mission of Farmland Elementary School is to prepare students to be lifelong learners, effective problem solvers, responsible citizens, and productive contributors to their world. The staff, students, and community will reach our mission as we work collaborativeley in a safe, caring environment. We will set, clarify and communicate expectations, share responsibilities for learning, and use data in our decision making processes. We will take time to celebrate our diversity, our successess, our growth and our achievements.
