Mission Statement

 

The mission of Fairland Elementary School Media Center/Library is to inspire all children to be life long readers. We will encourage students to become life long learners of information literacy-the ability to find, locate, and access information.

 

 

 

Circulation Policies:

Ø  Please return all books on time.

Under no circumstances will students be allowed to check out books if they have an overdue book(s).

 

Ø  Students with overdue books will not be allowed to check out books until they have cleared their library record.

Ø  Students are allowed to return and check out books in the morning from 9:00-9:20.

Ø  Headstart students are allowed to check out 1 book that remains in the classroom.

 

Ø  Kindergarten students are allowed to check out 1 book.

 

Ø  First grade & Second grade students are allowed to check out 3 books.

 

Ø  Third grade –Fifth grade are allowed to check out 3 books or 2 books and 1 magazine.

 

Ø  Books have a two week check period and magazines have a 1 week check out period.

 

Lost or Missing Books:

 

If a student has missed placed or lost a book, the book needs to be paid for in cash to the media center.  If you find a book that has been paid for; we will be glad to refund your money.
