Cheerleading Coach: Ms. Gstalder/ Ms. Ligon
The MCPS Cheerleading Competition will be on November 22, 2008. Details about this competition will be forwarded to schools. Entry deadline is September 17, 2008. Only schools that participate in the MCPS competition may compete in one additional competition. The additional competition may be a second MCPS competition, University of Maryland Cheerleading Competition, or a competition in the immediate Washington area. Participation in either competition is voluntary and approval must be obtained from the athletic director. See the MCPS Pompon and Cheerleader Sponsor’s Handbook for more information.
Pompon Coach Ms. Gooley
The number of competitions in which the squad participates will be determined by the sponsor, athletic director, and the principal, but will not exceed three. The MCPS Pompon Championship will be held on February 14, 2009, at Richard Montgomery High School. Details will be sent to athletic directors. The sponsor and athletic director will ensure that competition does not take precedence over participation in and support of school athletic events.
