Einstein at Tuscarora
Einstein Playoff Hopes Slip Away
The Einstein varsity boys soccer team lost 1-0 in the second playoff round to Frederick County's Tuscarora in a game that included a controversial call. Einstein goalkeeper Michael Giglio appeared to have stopped the Tuscarora ball on the goal line, but the referee ruled it a goal. The Titan boys played tough to the last minute, but could not tie the score to take the game into overtime.

Einstein vs Seneca Valley
Titan Soccer Powers a Win!
In front of an energized home crowd, the Einstein varsity boys soccer team triumphed 2-0 over rival Seneca Valley in the first round of the regional high school soccer tournament.
The game was scoreless after the first 60 minutes of play. Then Jason Carcamo sent a free kick into the box, connecting with Alec Anderson, who powered the ball past the goalie into the net. The enthusiastic Einstein crowd went wild.
Ten minutes later, Nebiyu Mohammed headed a ball into the back of the net off a corner kick by Jose Rech for a second goal.
Titan goalkeeper Michael Giglio and the tenacious defense of Dennis Orellana, Alec Anderson, Hirusha Perara and Derrick Hernandez held the Screaming Eagles scoreless despite intense pressure.
The Titans face third-ranked Tuscarora in the second round on Oct. 28 at Tuscarora in Frederick County.
