Web Technology and Digital Media is an exciting one-year course in web design or digital media. This course helps students become entry level "Web Masters." Students learn the exciting static and dynamic programming of HyperText Mark-Up Language (HTML), which is the language of the World Wide Web.

Students learn the intricacies of developing a web page that will sell a service or product or provide a source of reference. Students learn how to manipulate digital images and create animations. You will also learn how to create multimedia enhancements for web sites.

    • Math skills including: linear measurment to 1/16th of an inch which is an absolute requirement for success in the field
    • Further math skills including solving algebraic equations with one varible; 4 operations with fractions, decimals, and percentages; processing data from charts; reading maps and diagrams; comprehension of basic geometry
    • Ability to read and process informations written at a 9th grade level including text, specifications sheets, technical data sheets, service instructions and mauals
    • Good listening skills and ablity to follow multi-step verbal directions
    • Good organizational skills required to maintain and keep trach of many tools
    • Ability to work and communicate with others
    • Ability to follow directions, work accurately and carefully
    • Successful completion of Software Application by Design
