An entry-level program that gives students exposure to career opportunities and instructional competencies in the automotive repair fields. Automotive maintenance and basic servicing are the basis for the program. Students gain entry-level skills that prepare them for entry into the automotive service industry or prepare them for further study in the Automotive Technology or Automotive Body Repair Technology programs.

    • Students change oile and lubricants, change and repair tires and they also perform periodic maintenaince.
    • Students also detail cars, perform simple auto body repair, and peforms simple auto technology repairs.

    • Ability to follow multi-step directions
    • Acceptance of a shop environment - willingness to get dirty
    • Willingness to do alot of physical labor - on their feet up to 2 hours
    • First year: 3.0 credits
