Students learn to perform all aspects of hotel front-desk operations, including use of a computerized guest system, as well as to plan events and perform dining and guest service activities according to industry standards. Students participate in a two-week internship at a Marriott hotel. The course emphasizes the realization of a sense of professional teamwork and communication skills, both written and oral. Students have the opportunity to earn the National Restaurant Association's ServSafe Food Protection Managers Certificate.
