Our Philosophy
At Thomas Edison High School of Technology is to educate the whole child.
To this end, we have employed several techniques and experiences to reach students and give them opportunities to experience all phases of leadership and organizational development. Soft skills education is required of all students graduating in the 21st century. Forty years ago, a student with basic manners and a high school education could expect to gain employment that would support a family.
Today´s students are expected to have a working knowledge of computers, software, the internet, professional manners, and their technical competencies in the field of study. The best way for them to gain these valuable skills is direct instruction followed by direct application to a real-life experience. Our professional organizations SkillsUSA , provides the hands-on application of these skills. We feel very strongly that all students benefit from these experiences, so we require participation of all students.
