Here is a picture of the SERT team after building 6 floor lamps.  We are looking for a teacher to try these lamps in her classroom as the only light source.  The teacher would not use the overhead light at all, using the floor lamps instead.  

These lamps will use a total of 140 watts of light output instead of the 1400 from the overhead lights.  They will have CFL (compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs that produce the same amount of light while using less electricity.

This project and similar ones are called “delamping”.
