Hello and welcome to our classroom homepage!  Thank you for keeping the communication between home and school open.  On the homepage, you will find your child's nightly homework assignments, as well as long-term projects.     Please view the dates below for upcoming events and due dates (details of assignments can be viewed under the "long-term assignment" section): Sept 3 - Chorus Begins Sept 5 - Back to School Picnic Sept 11 - Band Begins Visit the homepage often for updated information.  Again, thank you and enjoy!

Mission Statement We, the rockin' 5th Graders of Ms. Schwartzbeck's 2008-2009 class, are here to learn and do our best.  We will succeed in reaching our goals and becoming role models by always doing our best.  By accomplishing this, we will be prepared for 6th grade.

Long Term Assignments

Long Term Assignments section was last updated Tuesday, September 02, 2008.

In addition to long term assignments and projects, suggested schedules are listed here for the Weekly Reader and Spelling activities. New Weekly Readers are assigned each Monday. Spelling lists change biweekly.

Weekly Reader
Weekly Reader activities are due every Friday! Suggested schedule:

• Monday - backpack and highlight.
• Tuesday - answer questions on the back of the Weekly Reader.
• Wednesday - do the accompanying handouts.
• Thursday - write the BCR.

Spelling
Spelling will begin next week.  Spelling list is due Friday 9/19.  Spelling packets are due Friday 9/26. Bring unstapled packet to school on Friday. Packet with test will be stapled in school. Packet should include:

• Cover sheet with name
• Three activities (recommended that students do one activity per night Mon-Wed.)
• Pre-test with parent's signature (normally done Thursday night.)
