We had spectacular weather on Monday, November 25th, when our children
worked so hard to plant
over 500 bulbs around the front of the school. Each child planted at least one bulb
during
recess and so gave up valuable playtime.
We had 13 very enthusiastic adult volunteers who were a big help. We look forward to seeing these lovely flowers bloom come March or April, and after enjoying them for a bit, we hope to cut them and deliver them to a local hospital or nursing home with love from DuFief Elementary School! Look for future entries on the web site to see them in bloom come springtime. What do YOU know about planting bulbs? Here are some websites you might like to visit to learn more about planting bulbs in your neighborhood or around your home.
