 Hours: 9 am - 3:45 pm

The Media Center is open to all staff, students and members of the school community during the times noted above. Parents are welcome during these hours and encouraged to utilize the Media Center.

Mission Statement

The Library Media Program strives to create a collaborative learning environment that operates as the hub of the Primary Years Programme at College Gardens Elementary. We support the curriculum, promote reading and the appreciation of literature and teach the information literacy skills necessary to be responsible and effective users of ideas and information thus empowering all stakeholders in our school community to be enthusiastic and confident lifelong learners.

Policies and Procedures

As long as students do not have an overdue book they may check out the following number of books:

  • Kindergarten: 1 book
  • 1st & 2nd Grade: 2 books
  • 3rd, 4th & 5th Grades: 3 books

(3rd, 4th & 5th graders may check out one magazine at a time which is counted as one of their materials)

Books are checked out for 2 weeks.
