About The Project
You're probably wondering what the project is, so I'll tell you.
The project title is ID-PSA, which stands for ID Public Service Announcement. This project is supposed to be a
30 second film informing the viewers of problems in the environment. My partner Hillary and I decided to do our ID-PSA about littering and its consequences (view video on left). From a general view, we were supposed to:
- Get a partner.
- Brainstorm a topic and ideas for a 30 second film. (Has to be approved!)
- Get ready for filming. (props, costumes, script, etc.)
- Film...
- Edit the footage in Windows Movie Maker, Convert it into Flash, and Make a HTML page about our PSA!
At first, the project seemed like work, work, work, but it turned it really fun. You should try it some time!
The Reason Behind Our Thinking
Why did we choose our topic to be on littering? Why didn't we choose global warming or anything else?
Well, I'll tell you why. Have you ever walked through a park or through your neighborhood and see a piece of wrapper on the ground?
Have you ever looked out of the car window while your mom or dad was driving and see a soda can on the side of the road?
Well, Hillary and I have. We're sick of how people do not throw away their trash in the only reasonable place to throw it; the trash can.
If people knew more about the consequences of littering, maybe more people would stop! That's why we chose littering for our ID-PSA. We wanted a way to
show people how littering affects us (in a funny, but still very serious way).
