And now...introducing Carolina's and Anthony's AWESOMEFUL ID-PSA:
This ID-PSA was a lot of fun to work with. Our favorite part was putting together this stuff. It was fun to film the video, edit it in Movie Maker (^_^ so fun!!!), convert to Flash, and then work with HTML to make this page! Here is the order we worked on this video:
This experience has been both fun and interesting. We chose this project because Carolina's brother and sister go to school at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School. We heard a lot about them being Leed Certified and them being the first Green Elementary School in Maryland. This made it interesting. The video above is in "news format" about a school in Germantown, Maryland called Great Seneca Creek Elementary School that is the first GOLD CERTIFIED LEED elementary school in Maryland! This means that they are a green school, a school which has many cool features in the building that help save energy, money , and even the environment.

Here are some pictures:

The air goes down in pipes which reach far down and use the earth's heat to warm the air! That saves a lot of air conditioning money during the winter!

These fiberglass windows use resources that are more available. As you can see, these windows are big to let in as much sunlight as possible.

The sloped ceiling allows more light to bounce in, as you can see in the picture/diagram below.

Here it shows the slanted ceilings allowing the sunlight entering through the windows to be brighter so the lights don't have to be turned on as much.

This diagram/picture above shows that Great Seneca Creek ES was made so the rooms used in the morning face the east and the rooms used in the afternoon face the west. This way the sunlight can be used throughout the day.

The waterless urinals allow less water to be used, saving energy.
