Anyone can protect nature!

This public service announcement shows who, what, when, where, why and how
you can protect nature, and show others how to as well.

This project, which started in Roberto Clemente Middle School, located in Germantown, MD, was made so 6th grade Math/Science/Computer Science students could participate in an activity that 6th grade Humanities students did, filming.

Since it was still a school project, academics had to incorporated:
  • Science was incorporated by filming a Public Service Announcement that, in someway, told people to protect nature.
  • Computer Science was incorporated by using Windows Movie Maker to make the videos. Then, the videos were converted into a Macromedia Flash format.
  • Math was not incorporated in any way. ;)

As students, we were allowed to choose our PSA topic, as long as it had to do with protecting nature, so me and my partner, Brendan Lawler, chose a topic about a tree bark ripper/hugger, and a tree saver. We got the idea after thinking about how we could get someone to "hug a tree".
