Mr. Scott E. Smith, Assistant Principal
I am entering my twelfth year in Montgomery County Public Schools, my third at Roberto Clemente School. I was hired in the summer of 2006 as a graduate student of the University of Maryland, College Park. A Virginia native, I graduated from high school in Fredericksburg and received my Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from Virginia Tech. While there, I was influenced by many great poets, novelists, and researchers of English Literature, but one of the utmost influence was that of Nikki Giovanni, who helped me gain a special appreciation for African American Literature. I am a father of two, Eliana, 4, and Leandro 2, and married to my beautiful wife of six (6) years, Angelica.
