- To celebrate Maryland Reading Month, the 7th annual Family Book Swap will be hosted by the media center on January 31st at RCMS. Thousands of books will be given away at no charge to the community to promote reading for pleasure and lifelong literacy. Outback Steakhouse will be providing dinner—a delicious treat! Books of all kinds are needed for donation starting in early January. Stay tuned for more details.

When is the last time your family took a holiday portrait?
Roberto Clemente Middle School is hosting a family photograph fundraiser on Saturday, November 19th from 8-4 on the multi-purpose room stage. Please go the website, http://rcms.imbimages.com and make an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted. The $10.00 sitting fee goes directly to RCMS! Packages are very reasonably priced. Please support our school community by purchasing family photographs.

On Thursday, November 10th from 3:00 until 6:30, parents and guardians are invited to Roberto Clemente Middle School to participate in 8 minute arena style conferences with individual teachers, counselors and administrators. The conferences will be held in the gymnasium and the cafeteria. Edline activation will be available.

- 09.09.11 Back to School Night UPDATE
- At approximately 6:45p.m. we had a fire alarm sound and in accordance with Montgomery County Fire Code, we evacuated the building. In order to ensure the safety of all stakeholders, we made the decision to cancel back to school night.
- On Friday, September 9, 2011, teachers will be sending home Back-to School-Night material with your student that you were unable to get last night. Thanks to our entire Roberto Clemente School Community for your flexibility and dedication. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Seneca Valley High School's fall play, "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" will be performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. There is also a Saturday matinee at 2:30 p.m. It is a Children's Theatre rendition of the classic story with some fun twists!
