PTSA Scholarships
The recipients of this year’s $600 scholarships for the Class of 2010 are Woori Bong, Allison Choi, Madison DeFrank and Rajoshree Mishra.

Leader of the Pack In Education
The PTSA "Leader of the Pack in Education" award is presented to CHS staff members for outstanding contributions to the students and school, and following the school’s vision of leadership, scholarship, and relationships.
On May 26, 2010 at a school awards program, the PTSA announced the following Leader of the Pack in Education Award winners. Congratulations to these outstanding educators!
- Mr. Bowie “… is the best teacher I have had through my entire school career. … Every day I leave [class] feeling like I learned all the concepts…”
- Ms. Gensemer and Mr. Weichbrod “… led the charge to help establish the first ever robotics club at CHS. … [They] not only taught our students how to build and operate a world-class robot; they helped our children place [very well in the competition and won] the admiration of numerous other veteran teams … ”
- Mr. Munsey “… Several times at CHS [Mr. Munsey] has gotten students who were struggling academically and behaviorally, encouraged them to become a wrestler, where they made dramatic improvements in both areas. …"
- Ms. Tehrani “… just has a way of explaining literature so that we can understand it and actually enjoy it. …”
- Mr. Williams “… has done outstanding work … to grow a music program from scratch. … His work is invaluable to both the drama productions of musicals and to the choirs’ competition at festivals….”
