Attendance Policy during Final Exams:
Students are required to attend school if they have a scheduled exam. Students must report to the exam on time and remain in the room until the exam period is over. Students will not be allowed to leave the testing session except in an emergency. Students who would like to remain in school when they are not scheduled to take an exam, must report to designated classrooms for a supervised study hall. Students who choose to arrive late or leave early because they do not have a scheduled exam must provide their own transportation. If absent, students must submit a medical note upon their return to school in order to schedule a make up time with their teachers.
Transportation during Final Exams:
MCPS buses run at the normal morning and afternoon times during the final exam period, students who choose to arrive late or leave early because they do not have a scheduled exam must provide their own transportation.
Inclement Weather during Final Exams:
If school is canceled, the final exam schedule will resume the next scheduled school day.
If there is a delayed opening, exams will be moved to coincide with the delayed starting time.For example, for a a two-hour delay, the final exam schedule is 9:25 - 11:25 (first exam), and 12:10 - 2:10 (second exam).
Review Day
All teachers will review the material that will be covered on the exam. If there is no exam, an end of the course activity will be reviewed and discussed. Teachers will also discuss the return of textbooks or projects and will outline student behavior expectations during exams.
