 Friendly Reminders:

1.    HOMEWORK in 6th grade is 10% of your overall grade.  This rule applies to ALL of your classes.  Failure to complete and turn in homework on the day it is due can impact your overall grade in a class. Please do your homework and turn it in on the day it is due.   Parents, any support you can provide your child in this area is appreciated.

2.    GRADES & HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS:   You can access student grades and homework assignments via your computer at home.  Please do this regularly.

3.   STUDENT ABSENCES:  If you know you are going to be absent from a class, please see the teacher ahead of time for any work.  If you have an un-expected absence, then you need to see your teachers for the missed work, as soon as you return to school.

Ms. Jacqueline Schnidman, Spanish & Reading

Schidman, JackieI started teaching in Montgomery County at Blair, Eastern and Banneker, then completed my Sabbatical year at Harvard, taking French, Spanish and Chinese. I remained in Massachusetts and taught in Wayland and Brookline, then for the past 20 years have been at the Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I am very happy to be back in this area, I love it!  I have lived and studied at universities in Saint-Malo, France, Neuchatel, Switzerland and Salamanca, Spain. My M.A. is from Tufts University. I love Pilates and Zumba dance fitness classes when I am not teaching French, Spanish or Health! One daughter went to Harvard, then Oxford and my other daughter attended Georgetown and now George Washington, both went on Spanish study abroad programs like myself! I encourage all our students to learn more languages and about other cultures. It's fantastic!
