  Our Thirteen Colonies

13map1How do I gather and record information about my topic?

  • How can I effectively use note taking strategies to respond to research questions?
  • How does interacting with information lead to understanding and communicating ideas?
You live in one of the thirteen colonies. Everyday life is full of hard work, adventure, and history making events and people. You are writing a travel brochure to entice immigrants to join you in living in your colony. To do this, you are going to get as much information as possible about your daily life, the various events that have been happening, as well as the natural and man-made features of your colony.

Begin, with the Three Regions of the colonies, to give you some background information about the climate, agricultural and manufacturing differences within the regions.

Now to to: TimePage, The Thirteen Colonies and and Mr. Nussbaum's Colony Site to start focusing on your colony.
