Thanks to the teacher and parent input at the last
Guidance Advisory Meeting,
we will be trying to incorporate the motto,
"BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE SAFE"
into every aspect of life at Cashell ES.

Check out our "Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe" plan for primary grades.
The Upper Grades will follow the same basic plan, but also learn the "Pillars of Character" words
Check out our  "Pillars of Character" plan for this year!

Small Group Meetings
Parents, teachers, or students themselves may request participation in a small group to work on specific skills.  I gather information in many ways, including the Needs Assessment that was sent/returned early in the year.  Currently the following groups are running:

Individual Guidance
Students write a note to me if they'd like to see me for help with something or just to "check in" - to see how things are going. Then they can put the pass into the orange mailbox  on my office door.  I will see them as I can, usually that same day.

(Parents and teachers may also refer a student at anytime.)

S.H.O.W.

Fifth Grade students are involved in S.H.O.W. (Students Helping Our World).   This year we have started with the following active committees:

            * Student Ambassadors       meets: First  Monday  of the month  at  12:40 in the Pre-K room

            * SERT                                meets: First  Tuesday  of the month  at  12:40 in  room  7
-Mrs.  Philips is our parent helper!

Right now 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to sign-up to get to know and support the students in our School Community Based classes.  This has begun a wonderful sense of Respect, Caring and Tolerance between students as well as a recognition that we all have something to learn from each other.

Students in other grades may also have opportunities throughout the year to be involved in S.H.O.W.
