THIRD GRADE NEWS

Dear Parents,

Each month, we will be sending third grade calendars filled with lots of great information. It is important to read them for upcoming events.

We have already started organizing for our Halloween parties. Please be on the lookout for a letter requesting food donations.

Curriculum Notes:

Crime Lab will be our first unit in Science. Spelling schedule: Tests will be every other Tuesday. New lists will come home every other Wednesday (10 day cycle). Check planner daily for assignments and specifics.

Interims were sent home the week of September 28th. Only those students who are not progressing on grade level, or display learning skills weaknesses will be notified. Each child will be asked to rate him/herself on a Learning Skills Checklist. Look for those in Friday Folders.

The Scholastic Book Fair begins on Friday, October 9th and will run through Thursday, October 15th. Miss Letina's class will visit the book fair in the morning on Monday, October 12th. Mrs. Gannon's class will visit it in the afternoon on Tuesday, October 13th.
