Dear Parents,

The Montgomery County Public School goal for first graders is for each student to select and independently read at least 25 grade level appropriate books by the end of the school year. This includes books read at home, as well as in school during independent reading time.

Please use the attached record sheet to list the books read at home this year. When your child has reached the 25 book goal, please send in the completed form. We encourage selection of both fiction and informational books to broaden their reading experiences. Books that may be read for upcoming reading incentive programs may be included on the list.
