Every classroom and teaching area has access to a computer. There are
three networked Windows labs of 30+ computers each. Ongoing staff training
is provided throughout the year on computer equipment, software, and
peripherals. Student and teacher technology projects are planned and
completed throughout the school year. In-school information is disseminated
through FirstClass, the e-mail system of Montgomery County Public Schools.
The Cabin John Technology Committee consists of six staff members who
meet regularly to promote and manage technology in the building. They
design and implement the school training plan for staff and students.
Each staff member has a technology binder that includes: policies and
procedures, lesson plans, student rules, computer lab organization,
and other useful information. It is constantly being revised with additional
material added.
