AGOPP Research Process
A-Ask Questions
- How did the scientist’s childhood and cultural heritage contribute to his/her choice of career?
- What was your scientists’ educational background and teaching experience
- What inventions or discoveries were made by your scientist? What is your scientist’s
significance to science?
- Do you think science would be the same without these contributions? Explain your answer.
G-Gather Information
- Decide which sources are best for your topic.
- Identify key words and phrases .
- Use text features to identify essential information from text.
- Skim and scan for information that answers your question.
- Verify the "worthiness" of the information.
- Record relevant information--summarize and paraphrase--avoid plagiarism.
- Record bibliographic information.
