Introduction


It is important to know how to use the World Wide Web for research, but sometimes the amount of information available seems out of control.

Task


Use
Boolean search strategies and the GOOGLE search engine to see how quickly you can find the solutions to the selection of riddles that follow.


Process

Step One~

Create a Microsoft Word document with a table to record the number of the riddle, its answer, the URL where the answer is found, and the key words used in the search.
Example:

Your completed assignment will have:

the answers to five riddles

the URL's where the answer was found

the key words you used in your search

your name, the date, class in the header

the file location in the footer

the bonus riddles (optional)


Step Two~

If your birthday falls in the first six months (January-June) of the calendar year, you are responsible for all the odd numbered riddles.
If your birthday falls in the last six months (July-December) of the calendar year, you are responsible for solving the even numbered riddles.
