International Night

On April 11, 2000 students, parents and teachers celebrated Cabin John International Night. The event was very successful with 350-400 students in attendance. Visitors received programs and passports. Twenty countries were represented with displays on tables in the gym. There was a great show of international dances, greetings and presentations by the different countries (e.g., Salsa dancing, and Swiss chocolate making). There was also a raffle for many prizes, along with tons of food!

The Cabin John Advanced Orchestra made their first appearance at the Cabin John International Night and presented a program of international music. They began with "Ashokan Farewell" , an American Folksong dedicated to the Civil War. They followed with "The Swedish Rhapsody" and an Australian Folksong titled "Queensland Matilda."

Congratulations to everyone involved! See you next year.
