All About Me
Create a 6-slide PowerPoint presentation to provide information about yourself to your classmates. Save your presentation with the following filename: Last Name First Initial Green5 AboutMe.ppt (i.e. WernerD Green5 AboutMe.ppt) in your computer folder.
1. Slide One: Your name and your digital picture inserted into the presentation.
2. Slide Two: Your birthday and two significant events that occurred on that day in history. Use the following site to discover the significant events:

3. Slide Three: Your first name and its meaning. If your name is unusual and/or no information is available, ask your family to explain the origin of your name and include its meaning on this slide. Look at the Etymology of Names web site to find out what your name means.

4. Slide Four: Your favorite meal. List your favorite meal including the main course, two side dishes, a dessert, and a beverage. Include a picture for each food item, too. Use the AltaVista Image Search to locate images of your favorite foods.

5. Slide Five: Your family photo scanned into the presentation. Use text boxes and arrows to identify each person and his/her relationship to you.
6. Slide Six: Your choice. Tell and show a hobby, zodiac symbol, talent or significant aspect of your culture to share with your audience.
7. Save your slide presentation to your COMPUTER folder of MY DOCUMENTS.

Then, save
another copy for grading to the Grade 6 Drop Folder titled
About Me. Please check carefully that you are saving your
presentation to the correct folder. Print one copy of your presentation
with 6 slides per page, staple to rubric and hand in for
grading.
