Rita Braver of CBS News
Sunday Morning visited Cabin John MS on March 13th.
Ms. Braver and the film crew are preparing a story about the "Digital
Divide" among schools in our nation. Cabin John was selected
as a school with a high degree of technology. Students and teachers
were interviewed regarding their perspective on how technology is
improving education at Cabin John. The show aired on CBS Sunday

(3 minutes). What did Ms. Braver see while at
Cabin John? Students used a detailed rubric to select the
top five public services announcements to air on the CJMS News Show. Mrs. Tauber's 6th grade class was evaluating
MS PowerPoint presentations of public service announcements
prepared by another class. Mr. Jones explained the implementation of Global
Access at Cabin John Middle School. Mrs. Green discussed how the eighth grade computer
applications class was critiquing student produced Web sites about
international cities and famous people of the last century. Science students in Mrs. Hinkle's class were
working at the Media Center hub to learn about plate tectonics. Eighth grade earth science students explained
the details of plate tectonics to Ms. Braver. TV production students in Mrs. Chase's class
were busy filming and taking these digital photos. See the movie
