This is the place to come to see all the cool things going on in the Brown Station Media Center!  Drop in often for news about the Media Program!

Kindergarten is researching animals and their habitats.  They are using "AGOPP" to learn about creatures such as snakes, giraffes elephants and polar bears.

First Grade is finishing a research project about weather.  They are using "AGOPP" to gather information about various types of weather.  Then they use PowerPoint to produce a slideshow.

Second grade is doing a biography research project.  They use "AGOPP" to learn the characteristics of famous people.  The activity culminates with a PowerPoint presentation, as well as a "Wax Museum", where the students will pretend to be their famous person and share their life story to other students in different grades.  Click here to access the websites students use to help them gather information about their famous person.

Third Grade celebrated Women's History Month by researching famous females.  They created timelines of their lives using a cool program called Timeliner.

Fourth Grade just completed their Native American research project.  After they gather their information, they write a first person journal entry, describing a typical day in the life of their tribe.

Fifth Grade is researching solar energy as part of their Science curriculum.  They will create a pamphlet on Microsoft Publisher that encourages the benefits and use of solar energy.

Come back soon to see examples of these amazing projects!
