THE BLAKE COMMUNITY ICE HOCKEY TEAM NEEDS YOU!!!!
For more information please talk to Mr. Pazulski in room A103. He would gladly answer any questions you have about Blake Ice Hockey. The Blake Community Ice Hockey team is recruiting new members. If you can skate (roller blade or ice) sign up to join our team.
We practice one day a week from October to February. Games begin in December and run through February. The schedule is on a rotating basis and we have in the past played Walter Johnson, Springbrook, Damascus, Sherwood and many other Montgomery County Schools as well as several private schools.
As a member of the team you will receive (and by that we mean you get to buy) a Blake Bengal jersey with your name on the back and matching socks. You get to keep the jerseys and the socks when the season is finished. Our games are officiated by USA Hockey officials.
Our coaches have many years of experience especially with the Montgomery Youth Hockey League.
Because we are defined as a club, the players and their families are invaluable in the success of this league. Many of our parents act as scorekeepers, run the time clock and help with penalty boxes.
Montgomery County does not define ice hockey as an official sport so we are also responsible for all of the expenses of the ice rink, renting of officials and the partnership with USA Hockey.This cost usually runs between $500-$700 dollars.
