Greater Washington, DC National College Fair - Tuesday, September 29, 2009 @Washington Convention Center, Washington DC from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., & 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

College Expos Fair Tuesday, October 20, 2009 @ Discovery Sports Center , Gaithersburg , MD (field trip)

9:45-12:45 and 6:30-8:30 pm.  (Blake will take interested seniors to this event from 9:00-11:00.  Students must complete the permission form and return it to the Career Center by October 12  to participate.  Valuable evening workshops offered on financial aid, athletic recruiting, and the importance of early college awareness.  Parents of sophomores, juniors & seniors are encouraged to attend this fair with their student during the evening hours!

 

Washington DC Performing and Visual Arts College Fair -  Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center,  Washington DC from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Hispanic College Fair Tuesday, November 10, 2009 @ Universities at Shady Grove Conference Center, Gaithersburg , (field trip)

9:30-12:30 for MCPS Latino juniors & seniors.  Permission forms required by November 2. Free bus transportation.

UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND & MCPS COLLEGE FAIR @ RICHARD MONTGOMERY HS - Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 6:00-8:00 pm - Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to attend along with parents (underclassmen welcome). Eligible Seniors will be able to participate in on-the-spot admissions interviews if they bring completed college applications, transcripts & test scores. Fifty HBCUs are expected to exhibit. Sign up in the Blake Career Center if you plan to attend.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR - April 14-15, 2010 - Gaithersburg Fairgrounds

Blake Juniors are invited to attend this annual event on one of these dates from 10:30-1:00 at the Montgomery County fairgrounds.  Permission forms will be made available in early April with a deadline date of April 5 for registration.   MCPS will provide school buses to transport students for $5 each.  Blake students will have the opportunity to speak with college representatives from hundreds of colleges and gathering brochures.  Evening hours are planned on April 14 for parents & students to attend workshops together.  Stay tuned for further details!
