Portfolio Requirements – Multimedia
___ 1. Table of
Contents:
Artist
statement
Typed
list of all assignments in order they were given by providing a title and short
description for each.
i.e.:
“Inside Me” – Self Portrait
___2. Presentation:
Projects labeled w/ title, Date completed and your name
in bottom left hand corner.
All
images sized correctly (No larger than 100 DPI and sized to display size) in
presentation software with description below in text between 12 and 18 point.
Fonts
are limited two faces in the entire portfolio
Graphics,
illustrated text, placement of graphic and overall design of book must show
consideration for unity in the product and not be inconsistent in the product
or portfolio.
___3. Written Statements:
Artist’s
statement concerning the arts on first page of portfolio/ powerpoint with name and period (see guidelines form)
Artist’s
reflection about each piece to left when portfolio is below each piece.
Sketches for individual projects behind on following pages must be scanned into
the software.
Course name, your name and period at
start of portfolio.

Projects must be printed as high quality images with the
following specifications:
150 dpi
Stroked image in 3pt black
( Images should be printed in
photo paper if possible)
Projects labeled w/ title
Securely
mounted in protective sheets
Pages
secure in portfolio (protective sheets work well)
___3. Evaluation sheets:
Artist’s
statement concerning the arts in front of portfolio with name and period (see
guidelines form)
Artist’s
reflection about each piece to right when portfolio is open and art on left. Sketches
for individual projects behind on following pages including concept sketches.
Course name, your name and period on exterior of
portfolio.
Portfolios are due after each project
Project will be marked down one grade per day if late
past the due date.
Lab will not be open during final exams for working on
projects.
Portfolio Guidelines
Artist’s Statement (in front of portfolio)
Why
did you take an arts
class?
What
do you hope to learn in the class?
Why
do you think the arts are important?
What
is your favorite type of art or art medium?( Consider
all forms including music, dance, video, etc.)
Reflections (with each piece)
Provide
a title, date and your name on bottom right of each piece. Describe what
inspired you to create this piece and the meaning, or symbolism found in this
work. Describe any personal meaning and
how the piece communicates your ideas. Talk about the process and the tools including
the software.
Grade Statement (end of portfolio)
What
grade do you feel like you deserve and why?
List
all of the things you have done, problems you overcame, new ideas, how you
improved, etc.
What
do you feel you have been successful with this semester?
What
do you feel was your largest challenge?
What
do you want to learn more about next semester?
Photographers? Special
techniques? History? Etc.
Each should be a good,
solid paragraph (at LEAST 5 sentences).
