Signature Program Vision

Recognizing and celebrating the diversity of the student body, the Blake Signature Program will infuse a study of arts and humanities in a comprehensive high school program. The program will acknowledge the interconnectedness among disciplines of learning and will promote an understanding of human values through the humanities and human expression through the arts. This approach will foster decision-making, passion for learning, and character development. It will invite open-mindedness, risk-taking, and individual creative expression. All students will be encouraged to explore and develop their unique talents and to appreciate the talents of others through a broad exposure to many facets of the arts and humanities. The Signature Program weaves a tapestry that connects the school with the community at large. A student will leave Blake prepared to enrich, improve, and enjoy the world.
