Lauren Harrison, a senior at Blake High School, has been selected to serve as a page for the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis for two weeks, either with the House of Delegates or the State Senate.

The student page program is designed to interest youth in state government, specifically in the proceedings of the legislature, increase participation in government by students, foster leadership among youth, and to provide students with worthwhile experiences in state government. Each page will serve two nonconsecutive weeks.

The program is open to high school seniors that exhibit an interest in government and history, have an average or above scholastic record and are competent, courteous and reliable.
