We do not necessarily use all of the web sites below, but they are resources we want to provide (see credits). If you  have any questions about these sites, or find that a link is no longer working, please let me know.

Internet Children's Digital Library This site provides access to hundreds of digital books in a variety of languages.

Enchantedlearning.com This is a fun educational site for audiences as young as preschool. Some of the areas covered: science, language arts and geography. (Not all pages are interactive.) Grades Pre-K-3

Children's Electronic Story Books allow the user to experience a book online.

Name Game Children need daily opportunities to use language expressively and purposefully in a variety of social situations. Use Nina to help guide your discussion.

Rhyming Game Children are trying to make sense of the patterns and sounds in language. With Reggie, you can help children develop phonological awareness.

Alphabet Game Recognizing letters of the alphabet, along with their sounds, is a critical step for children. With Leo, you introduce letters in context as well as in drawing and writing activities.

Words and Pictures Know your basic letters and sounds, now what? Well it's off to words and further phonics areas such as Vowel Phonemes and Consonant Clusters. Here you can find great online interactive games and activities for each of these areas along with printable activities for further reinforcement. How many of the High Frequency Words do your students already know? There is also a Gallery section with student submitted writings and suggestions for getting your students' work posted. Maybe your students will enjoy this site so much that they will even access it from home. Grades 1-3
