Event: FAFSA: Step by Step on 12/12/2013
Location: Choral Room

Details: Next Thursday, December 12th, there will be a "FAFSA:
Step by Step" Informational Meeting at 7:00
pm in the Choral Room. Gina Kandil, Financial Aid
Counselor of the Office of Enrollment at American University,
will introduce parents and students to the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the US
Department of Education. The FAFSA Application is utilized
by colleges and universities to establish a student's
eligibility for various types of financial funding and
assistance. Students are required to fill out the FAFSA in
order to obtain and receive: college-sponsored aid,
Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Pell Grants, Perkins Loans,
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, and
Work Study programs.
Event: NHS Candygram Sales on 12/09/2013

Details: Hey all B-CC students!! NHS will be selling candy grams
starting this Monday December 9th until
Thursday December 12! They will be 1$ and all proceeds
will go to aid in the Philippines.
Event: Practice ACT Test Results from 11/16 Test on 12/11/2013
Location: Counseling Office

Details: For the next week, the Practice ACT test results are
available for pick up in the Counseling Office at BCC.
These are for those 10th and 11th graders who took the
test on Nov. 16, but could not come to the results
meeting last week. Students, please stop by the Counseling
Office before Dec. 19 to get your results. After the
19th, the test booklets will be removed, and any remaining
test results will be mailed to the address written on
the test envelope by the student. Parents, please ask your
student to pick up the results within the week.
Event: Fall Musical "Sugar" on 12/13/2013

Details: The B-CC Theatre Department presents it's Fall Musical,
Sugar. The show is a musical based on the
hit movie, Some Like It Hot. Shows are this Friday and
Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. For more

Event: BCC Beard/Mustache Contest on 12/18/2013

Details: BCC Beard and Mustache Contest 2013
Each year we use the BCC Beard Contest to raise funds and
awareness about the problem of hunger in our
area. This year we are trying a different approach. Instead
of hitting you up for money we want you to
BRING FOOD (canned goods)!!
Starting TODAY through next WEDNESDAY bring canned goods
to your 1st period class. Each class that
collects at least 20 cans will be eligible to VOTE on
WEDNESDAY, DEC 18th.
We hope you will join in this FUN activity and BRING FOOD
so we can do our part to help address issue of
hunger here in our neighborhoods.
Event: B-CC Wrestling vs. Richard Montgomery on 12/11/2013

Details: Congratulations to the Barons wrestling team on their
37-34 victory over the Richard Montgomery
Rockets on Wednesday. Despite forfeiting two weight
classes, the Barons grinded out the victory behind a
strong showing from middleweights Jack Banaszak, Alec
Cohen, and Marcelo McAndrew. Jonathan Aguilar's
pin at 195 lbs proved to be the decisive victory for the
Barons who now sit with a team record of 1 and 1. The
Barons next take the mat this Saturday at Paint Branch.
Wrestling will begin at 2:30pm.
Event: Winter Concerts on 12/17/2013
Time: 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Details: Please mark your calendars for the upcoming B-CC
instrumental and choral winter concerts! The
concerts this year will take place December 17-19 and we
need your help to make them a success.
Signing up for the many volunteer opportunities available
for the winter concerts is easy! Go to the link below
and select as many slots as you can to support the three
concert nights. It would be particularly helpful if you
could volunteer on a night when your child is not
performing so that parents can see their musicians perform.
All concerts begin at 7:00pm.
