BENCH CEREMONY:
The B-CC community is invited to join together for the Antony
Benlizar Memorial Bench Dedication Ceremony on Thursday, May 30th at lunchtime, 11:00 am. We will gather in support of Antony’s family,
friends, and our school community as we honor Antony’s memory. Please
meet by Antony’s bench on B-CC’s East-West Highway lawn on the cement
semi-circle by the door. Light snacks
will be available after the ceremony.
Thank you to all who have contributed to Antony’s bench and
to all who will contribute over the next week.

sharp to 1:00 pm (must attend entire rehearsal).

CLUB FUNDRAISER – THIS WEEK:
The
B-CC Robotics Club is conducting a fundraiser TODAY, May 23rd, at POTOMAC
PIZZA-CHEVY CHASE between 4:00 pm-9:00 pm. Please come help support the club by joining
us for some great food and good company this Thursday, or just by ordering-in
Pizza! The Potomac Pizza is at 19
Wisconsin Circle, Chevy Chase. Please
make sure to tell Potomac Pizza that you are supporting the B-CC Robotics Club,
and the club will receive 20% of all proceeds.

COUNTRY NEWS:
This Friday, May 24th,
we will have our PRESEASON CROSS COUNTRY MEETING at B-CC at lunch in Room
C105. Anyone interested in joining the
team this fall should attend.
We will talk about...
-expectations for training over the summer
-when and where to turn in forms
-attendance at all practices* beginning Monday August 19th...(however, we will
have optional practices starting on the 14th)
-the practice schedule from August 19th - beginning of school.
*We do not make cuts for cross
country. We only require 100% attendance
and effort beginning on August 19th.

THIS WEEK we will also be open on Thursday after school. The store is regularly

and Wednesdays after school. We can open other hours by special request. The
store is located across from the Main Office and next to the large gym.

SPRING
CONCERT JAZZ BAND CDs:
We
are selling recordings of our Spring Concerts. If interested, please respond directly to me
and let me know how many cds you'd like. The cost is $10 per CD. The CD will include all three evening
concerts. Please send in either a check
made out to "B-CC Music" or cash for the cds.
Let me know if you have any questions. We also have some jazz band cds
available. They are $15.

The ART CAMP AT THE COFFIELD CENTER is collecting art
supplies for their summer art camp between now and June 13th. Any kind of new or lightly used art supplies
are appreciated and can be dropped off in the large box in the front atrium at
B-CC. Anything along those lines would
work well.
