Counseling Advisory Committee

The Counseling and Advisory Committee is a PTSA-sponsored committee that supports the B-CC Counseling Department and assists with programs related to the college preparation process and other guidance topics.  Programs of the committee include College Admission Night, College Process, Practice SAT and Practice ACT tests, FAFSA Night and Maryland Financial Aid Night.

The following programs are scheduled, but the dates are subject to change.  Parents and students will receive mailings and numerous BCCNet and BCCAnnounce communications as the dates for the programs near.

Programs and Events for 2011 - 2012

CollegeTracks for 2011-2012 will be held in the College/Career Center every Monday - Thursday during lunch, after school Tuesday afternoons, from 2:15 to 4:00 pm and at the Coffield Center on Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. (What is College Tracks?)

Registration Codes for Free SAT Online Prep Course Now Available at Counseling DepartmentAttention juniors who are interested in taking the Free SAT Online Prep Course sponsored by the College Board: Individual registration codes are now required in order to sign up for this course. Please stop by the Counseling Department and ask your counselor for a registration card.
 
The Special Financial Aid Edition of the College/Career Crier is Now Available on the B-CC Website.Although a heavy majority of scholarships listed are intended for seniors, there are several in this issue that students in lower grades are eligible for as well. This issue is quite lengthy so a limited number of paper copies will be available for seniors to pickup in the College/Career Center.
