CareerCatchers Event

CareerCatchers is an organization dedicated to working with under- and unemployed, low-income and disadvantaged residents of the Washington metropolitan area, supporting each client as he/she moves along the self-sufficiency continuum. We are looking for two students to assist at our 10th anniversary event on November 9, from 6-9 p.m. in Chevy Chase. Volunteers will sign people in, take donations, and help serve food. If you are interested, send an e-mail to Karen Shaines, karen@careercatchers.org

What: The Glen Echo Fire Department is planning a scalable mass casualty incident drill and we are looking for community members to participate as simulated patients and bystanders.  

Where: Walt Whitman High School

When: Sunday October 8th from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

What: KEEN – Kids Enjoy Exercise Now; multiple opportunities available, you can help with Sports, Music, Swim, or Dance

Where: Tilden Middle School or The Hanley Center at Georgetown Prep

When: Sports – Almost every Sunday through June at Tilden MS; 2:30-4:30

          Music – 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month through June at Tilden; 11:30am-3pm

          Swim – 2nd Saturday of each month through May at Hanley Center; 4-6:10pm

          Dance – 3rd Sunday of each month through June at Tilden; 2:45-4:15pm
