2007 Record: 12-3-2, Division: 3-1-1: B-CC defeated Bel Air, 1-0, in the state final at South River High School in Edgewater to become Maryland 3A State Champions! Bel Air was the champion of the East region, after beating the North's top seed, Franklin in the other semifinal. B-CC advanced to the final with a thrilling double-overtime win over the South region winner, Calvert County's Northern HS, 4-3, last week. En route to that game, the Barons justified their No. 1 seed in the 3A West region by beating #3 seed Urbana, 2-1, in the regional finals at B-CC. After a first-round bye, the Barons won their quarterfinal game against Kennedy, 5-1, then beat #4 seed Watkins Mill in a penalty-kick shootout after they fought to a 1-1 tie through two overtimes.

The final fall rankings of The Washington Post placed B-CC boys soccer at #7 in the area, the first time all season they have been ranked. With 9 goals, David Williams ranked 20th among county scoring leaders.

Returning senior midfielder Ethan White was named to The Washington Post's All-Met second team in boys soccer, and returning senior forward David Williams earned an honorable mention. Ethan was named to the Post's Montgomery County All-Extra first team. He was also named to the All-Gazette boys soccer first team, and David earned honorable mention:

"Ethan White, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Jr. M
Dominating presence in midfield was main reason behind Barons’ 3A state championship."

The B-CC All-Sports Boosters purchase a silver engraved star for the student-athlete that the coach has designated as the example of sportsmanship on his/her team. It is given not only for hard work and personal improvement, but also for a willingness to understand, to learn, to enter into a partnership with the coaches and teammates in an effort to recognize one’s full potential. At the same time, this person has taken an individual sport to its highest team level by consistently placing personal goals subordinate to the team’s needs and goals. The 2007 winners were Che Harvey and David Williams. The winner on the junior varsity was Brendan McClafferty.
