Latest news: In post-season honors, senior attacker Leslie Grill was named to the All-Gazette first team in girls lacrosse with the following comment: "Barons’ leading scorer was consistent weapon. In quarterfinal against Blair, provided capstone of her career, scoring five goals in one game for the third time in season." Midfielder Mimmy Wenzel earned second-team honors.
Four Barons were named to the 4A/3A West All Division team - Liza Amling, Leslie Grill, Catherine Mirsky and Mimmy Wenzel. In addition, Leslie and Mimmy were selected to the
Montgomery County Coaches' All-County first team, and Liza and Catherine earned second-team recognition. Congratulations on a great season!

The B-CC All-Sports Boosters purchase a silver engraved star for the student-athlete that the coach has designated as the example of sportsmanship on his/her team. It is given not only for hard work and personal improvement, but also for a willingness to understand, to learn, to enter into a partnership with the coaches and teammates in an effort to recognize one’s full potential. At the same time, this person has taken an individual sport to its highest team level by consistently placing personal goals subordinate to the team’s needs and goals. The 2008 varsity winner is Nancy Makuch, and the junior varsity winner is Darcy O’Connor.

B-CC's hopes for the 4A/3A girls lacrosse playoffs came to an end at the hands of undefeated top seed Wootton (14-0), as the Barons lost, 15-9, in the quarterfinal round. B-CC did not get one of the top four seeds in the Western region, but at #5 drew a bye in the first round nonetheless. The Barons opened play at 4th-seeded Montgomery Blair and won easily, 16-5.
