Mrs. O’Neill-Wood
began art lessons at an early age and attended the Visual
Art Center at Albert Einstein High School in Montgomery
County. She studied studio art and art history at West London
Institute in London, England and received a B.A. in Studio
Art at the University of Maryland. After graduating, she
worked for years at both the Corcoran Gallery of Art and
the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington,
D.C. She then spent a lot of time in the British Isles and
later returned to the D.C. area to earn her MA in Education
from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She enjoys teaching
photography part-time at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.
The focus for Mrs. O’Neill-Wood’s personal
work is oil painting and photography, both of which she
has sold and exhibited in shows. She occasionally has the
opportunity to work on her own projects. She enjoys outdoor
activities, attending art and photography exhibitions and
spending time with her husband and daughter.
