Bio:
Having taught at B-CC for twelve years earlier in her career,
Ms. Lerman is a familiar face to many in our community.
After receiving her B.A. from American University and her
M.A. from the University of Maryland, Ms. Lerman started
her teaching career at Paint Branch HS and did her first
stint at B-CC from 1982 until 1994. She then went to Watkins
Mill before returning to B-CC in the fall of 2005. Having
taught at B-CC previously, Ms. Lerman knows that the Math
Department has “really, strong competent teachers”
that will provide her with an environment that inspires
her to do her best.
Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Ms. Lerman has been
married for 28 years and has two daughters. One daughter,
Amy, graduated from Boston University and lives in Chicago,
and the other, Emily, is a senior at Syracuse University.
In her spare time, when not grading papers, Ms. Lerman loves
to read, walk with friends, and enjoy a Starbucks latte!
