Tim Gilmore was born and raised in Tullytown, Pennsylvania.
He joined the staff of B-CC in 1999, after completing his
undergraduate degree at the University
of Delaware, where he majored in Social Studies Education
and was a member of Phi Delta Pi (Education Honors Society)
and Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society). He also was
a member of University of Delaware's Men's Track and Field
Team.
At B-CC, Mr. Gilmore has been the head coach for Cross
Country, and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. In 2001,
the Boy's and Girl's Cross Country teams won the 2A South
Regional Title. In 2002, the Girl's Cross Country team won
the 2A South Regional Title and the 2A South State Championship,
and Coach Gilmore was named Montgomery County Coach of the
Year. In the Spring of 2003, B-CC girls won the 2A Outdoor
State title. B-CC girls were also the Cross County 2003
MCPS Division III Champions and Outdoor 2005 MCPS Division
IV Champions. Mr. Gilmore was also the sponsor of the Class
of 2005.
Mr. Gilmore was named the Athletic Director at B-CC in
the summer of 2005. As the AD, he will continue to teach
two AP Government classes, although he will no longer coach
any teams.
Mr. Gilmore's interests outside of school include rock
climbing, snowboarding and taking care of his dogs, Scout
and Sierra.
