Bio: Matt Boswell joined the staff of B-CC
in 1998 after having completed his graduate studies at St.
John's College
in
Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he received a Master of Arts
in Liberal Arts; he also received the school's award for
poetry the same year . He received his undergraduate degree
in English with a concentration in writing from Towson
State University
in
1994.
Mr. Boswell has worked as a U.S. Park Ranger and wilderness
firefighter, and is interested in mountaineering, geology,
motorcycling, astronomy, and skiing. He counts Rand's Atlas
Shrugged, Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics,
Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground, Lawrence's
The Rainbow, and Persig's Zen and the Art of
Motorcycle Maintenance among the most influential works
he has read.
In addition to his various classes, Mr. Boswell is co-director
of the B-CC Theater Arts Program, co-sponsor of the drama
club, sponsor of the school talent showcase, and sponsor
of the Maryland High School Theater Honor Society.
